The APG-500/APG500C precision resistance (Pirani) transmitter is designed for vacuum measurement in the range of 5×10−2 to 1.0×105 Pa.

This transmitter cannot be used to measure flammable or explosive gases that can react in certain atmospheres.

Measurement Principle: Based on the thermal conductivity physical properties of resistance (Pirani).

Measurement Range: 5×10−2 to 1.0×105 Pa (only applicable to air, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide)

Accuracy (nitrogen):1.0×104 to 1.0×105 Pa: ±50% of reading

5.0×10−1 to 1.0×104 Pa: ±15% of reading

5.0×10−2 to 5.0×10−1Pa: ±50% of reading

Repeatability: 1×10−1 to 5×103 Pa: 5% of reading

Output Signal (Measurement Signal)

 

Voltage Range: 0 to +10.5 VDC

Output Voltage: +1.9 to +10.0 VDC

Voltage-Vacuum Ratio: Logarithmic 1.286 V/decade

Error Signal: 0 to +0.5 VDC (filament break)

Output Impedance: 2×5.1 Ω

Minimum Impedance: 10 kΩ

Response Time: 100 ms

Control Range: 3×10−1 to 5.0×103 Pa

Control Output: 1 relay contact output (DC30V/500mA)

Transmitter Identification: 27.0 kΩ

Adjustment: Two small holes on the transmitter side for full-scale (ATM atmospheric state) and zero-point (HV high vacuum state) adjustment

Grounding Concept: Refer to "Cable Connection"

Connection to Common Signal in Vacuum System: Through 10 kΩ resistor (voltage difference less than <45 V)

Materials Exposed to Vacuum: Tungsten, nickel, stainless steel, nitrile rubber

 

Permissible Pressure: 0.3 MPa (absolute), limited to inert gases

 

Permissible Temperature:

 

Vacuum measurement: +5 to +45°C

Storage: -5 to +60°C

Relative Humidity: Less than 80% when the temperature is ≤+31°C; reduced to 50% at +40°C
