Holmium Sputtering Target Description

The holmium sputtering target is a silvery metallic target composed of high purity holmium metal. Holmium is a chemical element that originated in Stockholm, Sweden (with the Latin name Holmia). It was first mentioned in 1878 and observed by M. Delafontaine. “Ho” is the canonical chemical symbol of holmium. Its atomic number in the periodic table of elements is 67 with a location in Period 6 and Group 3, belonging to the f-block. The relative atomic mass of holmium is 164.930 32(2) Dalton, the number in the brackets indicating the uncertainty.
