This equipment is multi-arc ion coating equipment. 1. Preliminary preparation: 

Materialselection and preparation:

Choose the right golf clubs or other sports equipment as the base material.

Prepare the AlCrN coating material and ensure that its purity and quality meet requirements.

Check the equipment:

Check whether the power supply, gas path, vacuum chamber and other key components of the multi-arc ion coater are in good condition to ensure that the equipment can operate normally.

Matrix pretreatment:

Perform a thorough cleaning of the substrate to remove oil, oxides and other impurities from the surface.

A polishing treatment may be required to improve the finish and flatness of the substrate surface. 

2. Coating process 

Vacuum chamber vacuuming:

Place the matrix into the vacuum chamber and close the vacuum chamber door.

Start  the  vacuum  pump  and  vacuum  the  vacuum  chamber  until  the  degree  of  vacuum required for coating is reached.

Aeration and ion arc ignition:

Inject  an  appropriate  amount  of  inert  gas  (such  as  argon)  into  the  vacuum  chamber  to maintain the atmospheric environment during the coating process.

Ignite the ion arc so that the coating material evaporates and ionizes into metal ions at the high temperature of the ion arc.

Coating parameters adjustment:

According  to  the  characteristics  of  the  coating  material  and  the  required film  thickness (200nm), adjust the arc current, gas flow, bias voltage and other coating parameters.

The adjustment of these parameters will directly affect the coating rate and film quality.

Coating operation:

Under the adjusted parameters, the coating operation is performed.

By controlling the coating time, ensure that the film thickness reaches 200nm.

Film layer control:

During the coating process, the thickness of the film is monitored in realtime using equipment such as film thickness monitor.

According to the monitoring results, the coating parameters are adjusted in time to ensure the uniformity and accuracy of the film thickness. 

3. Post-processing Cooling and exhaust: 

After coating is completed, stop the ignition of the ion arc and allow the vacuum chamber to cool naturally or adopt a cooling system to accelerate cooling.

 Slowly fill the vacuum chamber with air until it returns to normal pressure.

Remove the matrix:

Open the vacuum chamber door and remove golf clubs or other sports equipment coated with AlCrN hard.

Testing and evaluation:

Use  film  thickness  measuring  instrument,  microscope  and  other  equipment  to  test  and evaluate the thickness, uniformity, adhesion and other properties of the coating.

According to the test  results,  the  necessary  adjustment  and  optimization  of  the  coating process are carried out. 

4. Precautions 

During the entire coating process, it is necessary to pay close attention to the operating state of the  equipment and the change  of the  coating  parameters to  ensure the  stability  and reliability of the coating process.

After the coating is completed, the equipment should be cleaned and maintained in time to extend the service life of the equipment and maintain the stability of the coating quality.
